Good news everyone – we took our time to get out with version 2.0 of iBuntu but only to be sure what we deliver is well-rounded and gives the user a real benefit in making it the most mac-like user experiance possible with Linux.
Today I don’t want to text a long story but want to let some sneak preview pics fresh out of our Beta-Test Phase speak for themselves – if everything goes well you can enjoy iBuntu 2.0 around 15.th of October as planned.

This and many more features, interfaces to the real macOS and coo functionalities you can expect with our new Version of iBuntu:
iBuntu 2.0 Lix Sur – stay tuned until 15th of October 😉
So long,

Near perfect. This is what I’ve always wanted in a linux distro. Thanks!
Me to, I always wanted one like this, and it should be awesome.
Big problem I just realised! Finder cannot be moved to the leftmost spot on the dock! Finder is always at the leftmost position so the transition to KDE Plasma is making a sacrifice. How about you use a seperate dock module! If finder can be moved, then Lix Sur is perfect 2.0 release of the operating system.
Hi, I know that this is an issue with latte-dock that the icons for the pinned programs are separated from the widgets like the launchpad. Unfortunately with the Alternative for gnome, Plank Dock, we could do even less since in Plank we can’t integrate Widgets from KDE at all and also the trashcan-functionallity wouldn’t be working well, we tested this out months ago. We hope you will still enjoy our new release even if the position of the launchpad is fixed at the leftmost position of the dock at least for Version 2.0. With Version 2.1 we will make this possible, I promise
I will still enjoy the release, it’s just a bit of a shame. I’m glad you are directing your efforts to change this with 2.1, again thanks for making such a great distro. Can’t wait.
It will never be a Mac OS X – like system if I have to use ctrl + c instead of cmd + c, on the apple keyboard, to copy a file. Functions are more important than appearance.
Most our our users like ctrl + c more than the macOS Original. But if you want to you always can change the shortcut in the system settings without any problem – mac won’t allow you this, KDE which we use from now on, does.
